Water Safety Tips
The key to protecting your children is education, knowledge and practice.
Talk to your children about the importance of water safety. While we don't want to scare our kids and instill an unhealthy fear about water, we want them to understand the risks.
So what can you do as a parent?
SUPERVISE. Teach your children they are never to go around bodies of water without you Fence in home pools and add alarms
Dress your child in BRIGHT colors while swimming to make them more visible.
DITCH THE FLOATIES. Floaties create an unsafe level of confidence and put your children in the vertical drowning position. Try a life jacket over a puddle jumper.
Learn CPR. This can save lives.
Get in the water with your kids. Make them practice 10-15 minutes before playing.
Sign your child up for swim lessons.
Let these tips empower you to do whatever it takes to get your kiddo water safe.
